Janelle is Back!

Janelle just got back from a trip to California with her high school orchestra. They went with the chior, band, drama, and color-guard, so she had lots of friends there with her. They traveled trhough the night by bus then spent 4 days seeing the sights. She was so excited to see sunshine and palm trees! She LOVED Disney Land and the Midieval Times Dinner. They also had music clinics and performed at California Adventures Park. After another long night on the bus they got back to Tremonton Sunday morning. We missed her every minute, but are so glad she could have a great trip!
By the way... While she was gone she got a phone call saying she had won an essay contest on
"Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." She entered the contest just to get a few points of extra credit in her AP History class and ended up with a $100 first prize! Congrats Janelle!!!

  1. So fun! She is such a beautiful girl. What instrument is she playing? I bet the sunshine did feel good! Winter is hard, I think everybody who lives where there is snow DESERVES ;) a warm sunshiney weekend in February!

I love your blog too Jenny. It is fun to see glimpses of your days.

  2. Hooray for Janelle! Great pictures from her trip, and I am sure the sunshine felt divine! I have fond memories of chaperoning on such trips, and would do it again in a heartbeat. (Sure, like they'd take along a geriatric person!) It was great fun! About the essay contest, Jenny. You didn't mention that at about the same age, you had the SAME experience after entering an essay contest in Idaho. You also won a nice cash prize! See? What comes around, goes around! Love you all.
